Metal Gear Solid 4

What can I say? Great job from Kojima! The supposed finale for the series, I can say, went beyond most if not all MGS fans. Seriously, well done to Kojima! A++

Don't worry, no spoilers here. Well, I hope not at least...

The last instalment in the series really pulled through story-wise, closing all the loose end and it really made sense to a twisted and confusing story of our favourite hero on the battlefield, Snake.

Gameplay-wise, Kojima was really innovative, afterall, it had to be, since gamers would have been force to repeat the same old from the previous instalments if it wasn't. All I can say is the gameplay has gone far and beyond all previous series with Kojima taking you through more styles than you can count in this one.

The bosses were, once again, well-made and well thought through although there was time when you just wanted to bash Kojima's head in for making some of the fights so annoying.

That leads me to another point. I've read a review saying that Kojima has mastered making the player feel Old Snake's (he doesn't like being called old) pain as he get 'tortured' through this instalment, and I have to agree, the amount of pain you see (Old) Snake go through really grabs at any true MGS fan's heart. This was really enhance through the epic and very powerful cut-scene cinematics you see.

Although, I've read many say there was too much story and too little 'substance' and gameplay in this one. All I can say is that this instalment was one for the fans that has really connected with the series.

Overall, music was great as always, gameplay was just brilliant, story was crazily moving and passionate. Yes, this was a great game, no a great piece of art for the fans, and for those that just jump aboard, it would still be a 'good' game.

I would recommend this game to any gamer that want to jump out of the usual mould which the game industry is in recently!

Happy New Year,

It's 2008, the year of the Rat. For those that have knowledge in the Chinese lunar calendar would know that this means the cycle has restarted again (Rat is the 1st of the 12 zodiac animals).

Anyway, as you can see (you actually read my journal? *manly tears*), I have not done any new art, but I hope to do so soon... (they all say that eh?)

Well, I hope you all a Happy 2008 and that it will be a fulfilling year for all of us :)

Watching new Anime: Claymore!

Sat Jun 23, 2007, 9:04 PM
well, what can i say, i'm a procrastinator >_>... haven't done anything lol...
But, i did enjoy watching a new Anime. Haven't seen an anime this good for awhile, too much non serious anime going around these days haha. The anime in question is Claymore.

It has a nice story, very detailed drawings, flow and structure of the anime is very good right now and what i like most about it, is that it bring issues that we question, issues with no answers? maybe so, but it's still nice for them to explore these themes of life, outcast, death and much more. Real enjoying the series and manga.

I would recommend others to give it a go, hehe. That's all for now... Hope i'll make some artwork soon... (there is one in progress, but the lineart is not going so well. Till next time.
